Projects and activities of the Zdeňka Žádníková Foundation focus in its character on children and youth, namely in the field of social care and healthcare, and the development of cultural and spiritual values.

it is half past nine in the evening, your child´s temperature exceeded 39 °C, and you know a hospital stay will be inevitable. Not a very nice situation.

The only thing to pacify your child during the undesired hospital stay, often without you around all day, is the fact that the playroom is by a gingerbread cottage, the head nurse lives under a tunnel, with a train loaded with singing geese is just heading inside, and lunch is served by the mice, hitchhiking an earthworm in a cabrio.

In our country, there are lots of children´s hospital wards, kindergartens or children´s homes, as well as homes for the elderly, who do not have the chance to be embraced by their beloved ones. Lots of work, and lots of happiness afterwards.

THE PROJECT "FOR CHILDREN´S SMILE IN HEALTHCARE FACILITIES "

"The projects for children´s smile" focus on improving the conditions which form the character of the environment the child is in, whether it is a hospital facility, a kindergarten, a primary school, or a waiting room of a doctor, with the aim to create an environment contributing to better quality of our children´s lives, richer in positive impulses.

Realization of wall paintings in healthcare facilities

Wall paintings became a pilot project of the Zdeňka Žádníková Foundation. What is it? These are paintings in facilities like hospitals, children´s homes, homes for the elderly, health resorts, etc. Wall paintings cover any space, for example by merry pictures from the animal kingdom, the animals being presented in all sorts of roles, depicting unrepeatable stories.

The environment plays an important role during the stay in hospital facilities, and during the treatment of both child and adult patients; it should be pleasant and trustworthy. It becomes a „home“, either for short term, or long term, and home, especially with children, is hard to imagine without their world of games, pictures, toys, and fairy tales. By means of these projects, the Zdeňka Žádníková Foundation strives to help the caretaking staff, as well as the parents, to better adapt the child for the hospital stay, and by doing so, also to make the treatment faster and more successful.

Your support can also help to lighten up the rooms, the halls, the playrooms for children, and the waiting rooms by merry colours, pictures, and most of all, by the smile of those who spend their time here, often under very unpleasant circumstances.
