The reading took place at „ Velbloud“

Saturday afternoon, the 30th January, marked the date for the second public reading of the 3rd year of the Every Czech Reads to Kids project. The little listeners were welcomed in the „Velbloud Café“ in Dobříš. The actress Zdeňka Žádníková Volencová was the guest, this time presenting herself as a writer and author of a very nice book „In the Sign of Butterfly“. Her author reading literally stunned the little listeners. As every good fairy tale, also this one ends well. Yet the stressful wandering of two little girls named Andie and Janie towards defeating the feared Slimer and his Eaglesnakes really required lots of courage and sisterly love. Of course, they were not alone. They were accompanied by Roser. Other fantasy creatures also offered their help, for example Deerdog, Capricorn, and others.

As the evening came to a close, the book launch was celebrated by alcohol-free Champaign, purchased by the book´s author, herself. The children became the godparents, when they wished the book a good journey towards its readers by a kiss.

During the autograph show, the children could get their newly purchased books signed by the author, as well as by the book´s graphic designer, Ivo Chvátil. The little listeners, accompanied by their parents, were leaving with a smile on their faces and a warm feeling in their hearts. The event was visited by 60 children and adults.

The entire profit from the sale of the book will support the Zdeňka Žádníková Foundation. For example, the children in the II. kindergarten in Dobříš, by the cinema, can enjoy the beautiful surrounding of the amazing wall paintings, paid for by this Foundation
