The Zdeňka Žádníková Foundation organized a book launch of the fairy tale “In the Sign of Butterfly” with the authors Zdeňka Žádníková and the photographer and illustrator Ivo Chvátil.

Vlasta Korec, the speaker for the evening, introduced a number of kind guests, among whom especially the godparents of the launch celebration, actress Květa Fialová, Karel Weinlich, the well-known author of radio fairy tales, and sisters Jitka and Kateřina Bártů. Apart from Květa Fialová, also Zuzana Dřízhalová took up the author reading.

The evening was accompanied by the jazz duo Katewan, the singing girls´ quartet G*APPELS and the guitar player Jan-Matěj Rak. Zdeňka Žádníková and Magdalena Bílková Tůmová played a duet of concert flutes.

The authors shared their experiences from creating a preparing the new fairy-tale book with the present guests. Profit from its sale will support the activities of the foundation. The bilingual book with a thrilling story won appraisal at the Dutch book fair and it will surely be enjoyed by both children and their parents.
